As a result, those who were poor suffered and even though the rich tried to help them, they were unable to do so because they were too few and did not have enough power. There were few people who belonged to the middle class and thus the country was divided into two extremes. Excessive wealthīellamy pointed out that the reason that there was such inequality in the world was because there was a big difference between those who had money and those who didn’t. His ideas were revolutionary in the 19th century because in those times, only the rich and those who came from good families had the opportunity to be educated and could hope to be accepted into the universities that existed during those times. Bellamy militates for equal education for everyone and he feels that if everyone was able to be properly educated until the age of 21, then the world would look really different.
